Better than Moma'sNov 15, 2009
Years ago in New York my sister used to buy Rao's for her family and told me how good it was. I was not used to spending that much money on a jar of sauce so I never tried it.
I now live in San Diego and really miss the Italian restaurants I used to go to in New York. One day I saw Rao's on sale in the grocery store and decided to finally try it.
When my teenage sons came home that day they walked in and said "it smells like a really good Italian restaurant in here". They were right, not only did it smell good but it tasted better than any sauce I remembered from some of the best Italian restaurants in NY. Unfortunately I never went to Rao's in NYC but will go next time I go to NY. My favorite is the Aribriata sauce.
Rao's is the only sauce I buy now.
