Good Stone for the priceFeb 17, 2010 I bought this because my 15 year old stone got broke... This stone is thinner and lower quality, but still suffices. Also it is a lot smaller in Diameter than my old stone.
You wont be disappointed by this product, and it came in under 3 days.
Love this thing!Feb 14, 2010 I love this pizza stone. It has really improved my pizza making. I recommend using lots of flour or cornmeal on the dough as it tends to stick to the hot stone. A little hard to clean but otherwise, I love it!
Never even got to use itJan 17, 2010 I brought one of these home from a local store and was very excited to use it. However, when I pulled it out of the box it was broken in two pieces. I attempted to exchange it at the store, and the only other one they had in stock was broken as well. They placed it on hold at another store branch for me and I drove to pick it up, only to find it- yep, you guessed it-broken in two pieces. Clearly this is not meant to be. On the bright side, I keep reading about other people's breaking after they've used it a couple of times, so I guess I was spared that disappointment.
Broken right out of the boxJan 15, 2010 I'd read reviews about pizza stones breaking all over the internet. Some expensive; some cheap. Every single one that I read about, however, broke AFTER some use. This one came out of the box in two pieces and it wasn't a bad shipping issue. I bought it at a local store and transported it home myself.
I'm returning it and getting another brand, perhaps the All-Clad Pizza Baker/Stone or the Weber #6430 16x14 Pizza Stone which would be perfect for use in the grill.
This lightweight five-pounder fails next to its heavier competition.
Pizza stones are greatSep 14, 2009 I got to give as a wedding gift- my first one I paid high dollar for and it broke so decided to go with a cheaper stone and it has lasted as long or longer than the high dollar one. After they are seasoned and used they don't look this nice but they are great to bake pizzas or cookies on them.
